Wynton Rufer Tournament 2022 | U9-U12 Entries OPEN

Entries are now open for the 2022 Wynton Rufer Tournament – U9 – U12.
 
 
Dates:
Sunday 15 May 2022 – U9 and U11
Sunday 22 May 2022 – U10 and U12
Sunday 29 May 2022 – Reserve day
 
Entries will close two weeks prior to the tournament date. If maximum entries for a grade are received, entries may close earlier.
Cost:
$150 per team
 
Venue: Stop Out Sports Club, Hutt Park, Lower Hutt
Please see the attached document for tournament rules and information. Please read this as there have been changes made to the tournament format this year.
 
U9 and U10
• There will be one division and teams will be placed in random pools.
• Clubs can enter a maximum of two teams per grade.
 
U11 and U12
• There will be two divisions –
    o Regional (teams playing in the regional league)
    o Local (teams playing in the local league).
• Teams in each division will be placed in random pools.
• Clubs can enter one team in the Regional division, and one team in the local division for each grade.
 
If you have additional teams that would like to enter, please email wynton@stopout.org.nz to go on a waiting list if places are available once entries close.

Please put WRT, club, and grade as a reference.
If you require an invoice, please indicate this on the entry form.
A reminder about the tournament for U7-U8 age grades.
U7-U8 age-grades will be held on the following date:
Sunday 7 August 2022
Reserve day – Sunday 14 August
Registrations for these age grades will open in June.
 
When the tournament began it was Wynton Rufer’s desire for a competition that retained the values of participation and enjoyment for players, parents and supporters. Winning is of course important, however to support those wishes the officially recorded goal differential for all games will never be higher than +3.
