Club announcements
They say it happens in threes!

As we complete our Centenary year in 2019 we can announce two more significant achievements.

Quality Club Mark
We have been successful in our Quality Club Mark (QCM) renewal. We have achieved status from 2020-2022.

The QCM club accreditation programme is designed to identify, support and highlight football clubs in New Zealand who are well run, community focused organisations aligned to the New Zealand Football Whole of Football Plan.

Talent Development Programme
And our big news is that we have been granted provisional accreditation to run the NZ Football approved Talent Development Programme (TDP) in 2020.

TDP provides an aligned, co-ordinated approach to the development of high potential youth footballers, aged 13-17 years. Its main aim is to provide a challenging, structured programme for players, in an enjoyable environment that maximises player development. It is highly likely that the game in the future will be quicker, more technical and tactical, and the demands on our younger players will be elevated. Through a planned, consistent approach to training, based around principles of Long Term Player Development, the NZF Talent Development Programme will provide a platform for players wishing to reach their potential.

We are also pleased to announce that this will be led by Adam Reynard as the Talent Development Programme Director.

More information will be sent out shortly or contact Adam on junior_director@stopout.org.nz or Tania at juniors@stopout.org.nz

COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT
We are pleased to announce strong continuity throughout our Senior Men’s coaching appointments for the upcoming 2020 season.
Chris Sambrooke is back for another season and will take the helm as coach of the Central League team. The ‘glue’ Paul Commerford continues as 1st team Manager.

Alistair Yates will continue with the sterling work he’s doing with our youthful Capital 1 side as well as coaching the U19 team in the Main draw at Napier.
Joe Sambrooke will support Alistair as Assistant Coach across both teams. Family commitments has meant an enforced break from football for Scott Easthope but we are hopeful of seeing him back at Stop Out very, very soon.

Celebrating success
Congratulations on the achievements of our Stop Out teams at recent tournaments.
10th grade Rufer – winners at Douglas Villa
13th grade Stop Out Eastbourne Black – runners-up at Douglas Villa
Under 19 Napier Tournament –  The Under 19 team placed 2nd place in the Satellite draw in the Napier Under 19 tournament – meaning promotion into the Main draw for 2020. A huge achievement!

National Age Group Tournament – Well done to Abbas Abdullahi, Omar Alsayah and Karan Patel for their selection in the Capital U16 side. All three made their Central League debuts this year and starred in our U19 success over Labour Weekend. Congratulations also to Blake Eveleigh and Elliot Porter-Wallis for their selection in the Capital U14 side. All five will be competing in the annual National Age Group Tournament from Wednesday 11th December – Sunday 15th December, right here in Wellington. Good luck boys!
