Women's Division 1 win the double! PDF Print E-mail

Our Women's Division 1 team capped off a fantastic season by winning the Division 1 League and Cup double.

With the league title and promotion into Capital Premier for 2011 already achieved they faced a combative Petone side in the knockout cup competition. Wet and windy conditions at Te Whaea didn't halt their free flowing football approach.

A dominant performance and plenty of chances belied the 1 nil score line. Player of the year Melanie McDougall scoring the winner.

The achievement is even more remarkable when you consider the team was only promoted into Division 1 at the start of this season!
