Capital Football Finals Day |
Congratulations to all three of our junior teams that were part of the Capital Football/King Toyota Grand Finals Day. On a hot afternoon at Richard Prouse all three teams represented the club well. In the 10th Federation Final the team went down 2-3, running out of time as they tried to claw back Miramar’s early lead. In the 12th Bowl Final the team repeated that result also against Miramar in a thriller that was only settled in the last few minutes before the final whistle. In the 12th Cup Final, our team trailed rivals Lower Hutt three times before winning a 4-3 thriller. This was the teams first win over the LH side for some three years & comes after they had finished runner-up to them in the regular JPL league this winter. Goals to Daniel Binns, Antonio Ritossa and Greg Evans (2) sealed a brilliant result. |
